The Ticker Tales take

Ardee Industries, in business since 1993, is a battery-material recycler - it recovers and recycles end-of-life batteries and non-ferrous scrap into high-purity lead and specialised lead alloys, supplying energy storage, e-mobility, automotive and chemicals. It's a ₹425.87 Cr mainboard issue (about ₹320 Cr fresh shares, the rest an offer for sale where promoters sell some stake) that opened on 5 Aug at a ₹50-53 band and lists on 12 Aug. Demand has firmed to about 3.08x subscribed and the grey-market premium is around ₹13 (~24.5% over the ₹53 top price), with brokerages positive on the recycling / circular-economy angle and strong FY26 growth (revenue up ~57%, profit up ~155%). On that read we expect a listing pop of roughly 30% - a Strong Subscribe. The call is provisional and locks at 2 PM on the closing day (7 Aug).

Why Ticker Tales

Understand India's stock market through stories, not jargon.

Ticker Talesis where India's listed companies become readable. For every business on the NSE and BSE there's a real story — a founder who refused to quit, a bet that reshaped an industry, a number that explains everything. We dig those out and tell them in plain English, so you actually understand the companies behind the tickers instead of just watching prices move.

Alongside the long-form company stories, we run IPO alerts for the Indian market — every open and upcoming IPO with its price band, lot size, issue size, GMP, subscription figures and an honest take — and investor explainers that break down the essentials of investing for beginners: the P/E ratio, market capitalisation, grey market premium, stock splits, delisting and more. No hype, no tips, no jargon — just clear, well-researched context for smarter decisions.
