The Ticker Tales take

Orient Cables makes networking and specialty cables — CAT5/6/6A cables, patch cords, CCTV and power cables, optical fiber, and newer lines like EV-charging cables and tethered-drone cabling — serving broadband, telecom, data-centre, renewable-energy and smart-building customers. FY26 revenue grew 42% to ₹1,181.7 crore, though profit stayed almost flat at ₹53.6 crore. Of the ₹552 crore issue, ₹320 crore is fresh money for the company and ₹232 crore is an offer for sale by existing owners. Demand picked up sharply through day four, closing near 4.43 times covered (NII 10.14×, retail 4.49×, institutions still light at 0.02×), while the grey market premium firmed to around ₹87, roughly 32% over the top of the band. We expect a stronger listing — a pop of around 38% — so this remains a Strong Subscribe.
