Anil Singhvi's take
Anil Singhvi (Zee Business) recommends applying for reasonable listing gains and for the long term. He likes the specialised fire-protection business with no direct listed peer, exports to over 90 countries, strong returns on capital and reasonable valuation. His concern is rising inventory; he suggests a stop-loss below the issue price after listing for cautious investors.
The Ticker Tales take
HD Fire Protect makes fire protection and safety equipment. The whole issue is an offer for sale, about 2.63 crore shares sold by the two promoters, so none of the money goes into the company and existing owners are cashing out. The issue opened on 13 Oct; the unofficial grey market premium was around ₹80 on 12 Oct, roughly 30% over the top of the band, and no subscription data has appeared yet. Anil Singhvi recommends applying for reasonable gains and the long term, which nudges us up slightly. We expect a strong listing - a pop of around 33% - so this is a Strong Subscribe. The call is open to change until it locks at 2 PM on 15 Oct.
